Accomodation
During the meeting week there will be a large congress in Stockholm and the hotel availability could be limited. Please book your hotel as soon as possible, but no later than the dates below. Special arrangements have been made with the Sheraton Hotel (the meeting hotel) to accommodate delegates and their accompanying persons for the 12th IECEE CMC Meeting. The hotel is situated just a few minutes’ walk from bus stop and train station. The special rates are SEK 1850 for a single room and SEK 2050 for a double room including breakfast buffet. The rooms at the Sheraton will be available for booking until 1st May and free cancellation is possible until 72 hours before your arrival date. A limited number of (single) rooms are reserved at the Best Western Kom Hotel situated about 20 min walk from the meeting location at a cost of SEK 1520. A booking request can be sent by mail before 31st March following the instruction in the inquire form.

Registration Desk
The meeting will take place in the conference room DROTTNINGHOLMSSALEN at the Sheraton Hotel in Stockholm, Sweden. Registration of delegates will be open on Tuesday June 23rd between 10:00 and 18:00 and on the first meeting day between 8:00 and 10:00 around the entrance of the conference room. After 10 am, registration can be made at the permanent secretariat office.

Event: Dinner Date and Time: June 24th, 2009, 19:00~ Place: Hagasalongen 1-3 at the Sheraton Hotel Registration: Please indicate whether you will participate at the Dinner session on the meeting registration form. If there are any accompanying persons, please mention the number of persons on the form. If you have any special food requirements related to religion or allergies, please be sure to inform the meeting host, so they can take necessary provisions.

Accompanying Person's Program

Arrival
You will most probably arrive at ARLANDA airport, situated 40 km north of Stockholm city center. The train Arlanda Express cost SEK 240 and takes about 20 minutes to Stockholm city. The Airport coach “flygbussarna” cost SEK 110 and takes about 40 minutes. Taxis are also available and offer fixed prices to Stockholm city. Choose one of the large taxi companies “Taxi Kurir”, “Taxi 020” or “Taxi Stockholm” (found at the left hand side at the taxi station) for best fixed price (approx. SEK 500) Some flights within Europe arrive at Stockholm Skavsta airport situated 105 km south of Stockholm or Stockholm Bromma airport.Please click on the links for more details. In case of doubt, the information can be obtained from the nearest Swedish Embassy or Consulate and the website http://www.swedenabroad.com/. If you need an invitation letter for visa, please check this on the meeting registration form. Currency and Credit Cards The currency is Swedish krona, SEK. 1 krona is divided in 100 öre. Coin denominations are 50 öre, 1, 5 and 10 kronor. Bank notes are 20, 50, 100, 500 and 1000 SEK. One USD is equivalent to about 9 SEK (March 2009). Credit cards, including VISA, American Express, Diner’s club, Master Card are accepted at most hotels, department stores and restaurants. Sightseeing and visitors information Stockholm city is the capital of Sweden and is well known for the closeness to water and the archipelago with 30000 islands. It is the only capital in the world where you can catch trout and salmon from the shores within the city. Using public transport Public transport in Stockholm city is run by SL. Tickets are bought before entering subway, trains and buses. Most convenient is to buy a 1, 3 or 7 days card, which cost 100 to 260 SEK. These are sold at “SL Center” Stockholm Central station and at most “Pressbyrån”-kiosks.

Weather
I Stockholm the average daily temperature in June is about 20 C. During night the temperature may drop to 10 C (average min). Due to quite long days the average sunlight in Stockholm is 11 h per day in June.
